About Maka
I’m a student at the University of Zimbabwe and I do nails and lashes around my degree. I started on my friends in res, kept practising, and now I have regulars who book the same slot every month.
I work slowly and I work clean. Tools are sanitised between every client, lashes go on one at a time, and I will tell you honestly if a set is not right for your natural nails. If something lifts in the first week, come back and I fix it.
Questions
How long do lashes last?
Two to three weeks before they need a fill, depending on your natural lash cycle and how much you touch them. Sleeping on your face shortens it.
How long do nails last?
Gel polish holds two weeks. Acrylic and BIAB run three to four weeks before an infill.
Do you come to me?
Yes, in Mount Pleasant and Avondale. Call-out is $3 to $5 and it is waived on bookings above $25. On campus you come to my spot.
What if I need to cancel?
Message me at least four hours ahead and I move your deposit to the next slot. Later than that, or a no-show, and the $2 stays with me.
Do you do removals?
Yes, $3 for a soak-off, and it is free when you book a new set with me the same day. Please do not pick them off.
How do I pay?
EcoCash, InnBucks or cash in USD. The deposit is EcoCash, the rest on the day.
